The explanations to the topics are simple and direct to the point. I went through the book from cover to cover and learned quite a few Revit stuff myself which I'm not well versed of. There are advanced topics too and this is another reason why I'm adding this to my reference books. This book is mainly targeted to beginners and intermediate Revit users. A lot of the illustrations also extends to this space. The figure numbers for the illustrations are placed on the edges (opposite the spine) where most books would put a 1" to 1 1/2" blank space. I love the format! The text is easier to read and that's because there's a little bit more space in between the lines. The layout is a departure from most of the Sybex 'Mastering' series which I've been buying since 2006. I was pleasantly surprised when I first opened the book. And who doesn't know Stephen Stafford ()? I've learned a lot from the internet articles they've written and out of curiosity, I had to find out their approach to teaching Revit on a beginner level. Beau Turner is a co-blogger at where I contribute blogs every now and then. Why? Because of two authors who are among the four who has written this book. Even at my level, I would still read up on my old beginner books just to reinforce my knowledge of Revit.Ī couple of months ago, this book caught my eye. Aside from keeping up with the latest modeling techniques, I try to devour all reading material pertaining to BIM. I just got to have the latest version of this software.
